Sean M. Ewald, PLS, from BSC Group, Inc., was named the recipient of MALSCE's prestigious 2017 Surveyor of the Year Award during the 2018 MALSCE Convention’s Friday Board of Directors Meeting & Awards Luncheon. This award is annually presented to a professional land surveyor who has provided outstanding leadership for the profession.
The MALSCE Awards Committee, which selected the Surveyor of the Year, was chaired by Don Poole, from Outermost Land Survey, and comprised of fellow past Surveyor of the Year Award winners Steve Dyer, of Fieldstone Survey Services, Dana Stanley, of BSC Group, Inc., and Mark Violette, of Nitsch Engineering.
The Committee selected Sean in recogonition of his exemplary service as a member of the MALSCE Board of Directors and as a MALSCE officer. His stewardship as MALSCE President and continuing involvement with MALSCE as current Past President made him a worthy recipient of this honor. The land surveying profession and MALSCE have greatly benefited from his commitment and leadership.
The tradition of selecting a Surveyor of the Year dates back to MALSCE’s early days and gives the association the opportunity to honor and thank a leader who has been exemplary for his or her service to MALSCE, the profession and the community. You can see the names of the past award recipients on the MALSCE website.
Congratulations, Sean!
