Dana J. Standley, PLS, an Associate of BSC Group, a firm with offices in Boston, Worcester, West Yarmouth, MA and Glastonbury, CT, was named the recipient of MALSCE's prestigious 2016 Surveyor of the Year Award during the 2017 MALSCE Convention’s Friday Awards Luncheon. This award is annually presented to professional land surveyor who has provided outstanding leadership for the profession.
The MALSCE Awards Committee, which is made up of past Surveyor of the Year Award winners, selected Dana for his dedicated service to MALSCE as chair of the MALSCE School of Survey Board of Directors, organizer of the semi-annual MALSCE Surveyor-in-Training and Professional Land Surveyor Refresher Courses and as an active member of both the Eastern and Central Massachusetts Chapters. The land surveying profession and MALSCE have greatly benefited from his commitment and leadership.
The tradition of selecting a Surveyor of the Year dates back to MALSCE’s early days and gives the association the opportunity to honor and thank a leader who has been exemplary for his or her service to MALSCE, the profession and the community. You can see the names of the past award recipients on the MALSCE website.
Congratulations Dana!
