This Zoom Video Webinar will be recorded
A few years ago, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR) engaged in a project to scan their entire Boston headquarters’ plans collection. The whole process resulted in 101,617 scans of architecture, engineering, forestry management, and land plans! Now that all of the plans are scanned, DCR is in the process of building a custom database that is expected to be up and running by the end of 2025. Sam Sharp, plans archivist for the Office of Cultural Resources at DCR will give a 15-20 minute talk (followed by a 5-10 minute Q&A) about what is available and how to get plans now and in the future. She will also show samples of some interesting plans in their collection.
