Don is President of Land and Boundary Consultants, Inc., based in southeastern New Hampshire, and has been in practice as a land boundary consultant since 1974 and surveying since 1962. Don is both a licensed land surveyor and professional forester and has presented seminars on a variety of topics including description interpretation, boundary evidence, surveying law, and various aspects of forensic science.
DAY 1: FOLLOWING COMPASS & CHAIN
To follow the survey and its surveyor is the prime goal and the rule of law.
This program lends insight to various types of equipment and procedures, and provides clues to finding key information that will lead to correctly retracing the survey that created the subject tract of land.

DAY 2: BOUNDARY RETRACEMENT USING MODERN TOOLS

This program is a comprehensive review of current resources available to the retracement surveyor, and discusses their applications. Included are websites dealing with topographic maps, ancient maps, book resources, tree identification, declination conversion, highways, genealogical information, as well as search tools, such as photography, metal locators, and drones.
