Updates from MA Board of Registration of PEs and PLSs - January 2017

January 26, 2017 PE and PLS (EN) Board of Registration Meeting

The Board discussed these issues:

• Board Legal Counsel Sheila York gave an update on the status of the revisions to 250 CMR: they are still under review in the Division of Professional Licensure, but she demonstrated how the proposed changes are in compliance with Governor Baker's Executive Order 562. 
• Board of Registration subcommittees met before the meeting to start the discussion of:  
• Early PE Test Takers (some states are allowing EITS to take Principles and Practices Exam before they have the required Educational Requirements for Licensure (Humanities requirement for international candidates)

Next Board of Registration Meeting 

The next meeting of the Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors is expected to be on February 23, 2017 at 9:30 AM.
