During this year’s annual spring MALSCE Board of Directors Meeting & Dinner, which was held on June 12th at O'Connor's Restaurant & Bar in Worcester, MA, amended MALSCE Bylaws were presented by MALSCE President Paul Foley, PLS, COO, Feldman Land Surveyors, and put forth for a vote. MALSCE members in attendance voted unanimously to approve what are essentially new bylaws, the first step in the proscribed process for amending the existing MALSCE bylaws. A second board review and vote is required before the amended MALSCE bylaws can be officially adopted. This bylaws review and vote will occur during the fall MALSCE Board of Directors dinner meeting, which will be scheduled for a date in October. In the meantime, the bylaws will undergo a legal review.
The Amended MALSCE Bylaws can be read here along with a copy of the Existing MALSCE Bylaws and a Summary Document, which provides an overview the major provisions and changes incorporated into the amended MALSCE Bylaws.
During the June 12 meeting, Paul Foley also reviewed MALSCE’s undertakings and achievements during the current fiscal year, discussed MALSCE leaders’ plans for fiscal year 2019, and presented the proposed fiscal year 2019 MALSCE budget for a board vote. Meeting attendees approved the proposed budget as presented. That new budget year takes effect July 1, 2018.
